Unleashing Creativity and Problem-Solving Skills through Hands-on Learning
The Inventors and Entrepreneurs camp is a transformative summer program designed to inspire young minds to become innovators and problem solvers. Through engaging activities rooted in the challenges faced by inventors throughout history, participants learn valuable problem-solving skills and embrace the concept of trial and error.
The camp fosters creativity and critical thinking through a hands-on approach known as “Thinkering” which is thinking + tinkering.
Campers embark on an exciting journey through time, exploring the groundbreaking inventions and entrepreneurial endeavors that have shaped our world. Each day, they encounter real-world problems faced by inventors, such as designing solutions for transportation, communication, energy, and more.
By studying historical inventors and their creations, campers gain insights into the problem-solving process and the iterative nature of innovation. Through trial and error, they learn to adapt their designs, refine their ideas, and overcome obstacles, fostering resilience and perseverance.

Inventors and Entrepreneurs camp fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, encouraging campers to share their ideas, collaborate, and learn from one another. Activities for the day:

Inventors workshop – build and control robots, gizmos, moving machines, and hacked toys.

Social:
- Confidence, leadership, self-discipline, physical fitness. Working together in teams and solving problems. Working together in teams and solving problems through healthy dialectical debates. Responsible decision-making, self-awareness, relationship skills, self-management, social awareness.

- Trivium: Logic and rhetoric are used as students discuss science topics. Logic, grammar, and rhetoric are used as students debate the problems and present solutions.
- Quadrivium: Sciences, arts, humanities, and history are discussed as students think about science in these areas.
